Just Lay II are a series of experimental mono prints that led up to the paintings developed in Just Lay III. The prints depict a number of poses, in which the figure simply lays with no other objective or obligation, a reality that is hard to occupy in this day and age. The chosen medium gives a fragility to the line, furthering such notions of vulnerability. The figures surrounding negative space and lack of support creates an element of airiness, as if the figures are floating, surrendering to something greater than themselves.
